  I have just been informed that One of my good friends, Pratan Pimpsurp, a great artist and Sculptor has just passed away from a massive Heart Attack. He will be remembered as the little Artist with a big heart. Pratan was from Thailand and was only 4'9" tall. He was 49 years old. His last major carving event was the NICA Nationals in Downer's Grove, Il. last month. Please pray for his family. RIP Pratan, We will always remember your smile.   Members of Stephan Koch's four-man carving team never guessed they'd be wearing T-shirts while carving ice in early March in Fairbanks.

  how do I make clear ice in a home freezer, any hope at all? I tried boiling it twice no avail, so I must come to those who know, or may know.
  
  
  I carve wood as a hobby and have an intesting thing to try with Scouts if I can get a few cantelope sized pieces of reasonably clear ice.
